The component will support natural a or man-made crises or disasters severe economic shocks such as droughts, floods, disease out break, land slides under the Immediate Response mechanism
Project beneficiaries: The project will benefit about 870,000 beneficiaries with 522,000 house holds of smallholder farmers, agro-pastoralists, and pastoralists directly benefiting, 340,000 households benefiting from the county-level and public-private partnership investments and over 600 micro-small-and-medium enterprises.
Project cost: KCSAP will cost a total of USD 279 M with USD 250 M financing from the World Bank and a Government contribution of USD 29 M.
Implementing Agency: The Ministry of Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries is the main implementing Agency at the national level with the project anchored in the State Department of Agriculture. County governments will be the executing agencies at the level.
