Abstract:
2-4-D and CMPP gave good control of most weeds when applied at 3-4 leaf stage of the crop and the weeds were small. Late applications of these herbicides resulted in poor control of all weed present. At any stage 2,4-D gave poor control of black blindweed. Whereas CMPP adequately controlled this weed. Buctril M gave better control of all weeds when applied at early stage compared to later applications. It also gave better control of the needs present that 2,4-D or CMPP. All treated plots gave higheryields than the interested plots. The study demonstrated the fact that 2,4-D, CMPP and Buctril M should be applied when the weed are small for optimum weed control and maximum yields.
