Water management in rice production

I.0  Water requirement of upland rice
Synchronize peak water regimes with crop establishment, reproductive and ripening phases
The requirement for NERICA varieties is 25mm every five days.
For irrigated rice the level of water depends on crop growth.

Water requirements of irrigated
Puddling water level 10cm Transplanting water level is 3cm,  Tillering stage 3cm,  Panicle initiation and flowering 5-10cm depend on the height of the variety, Repening stage  drain the field.
