We have implemented an out-grower production model to strengthen the role of farmer’s grass-root groups towards increasing their members’ production capacity and active participation in fulfilling the market needs. Smallholder producer groups are pooled together for collective production for a specific market.

The model is known as the Community Production & Marketing System.

The COPMAS model strengthens the existing smallholder farmer groups and encourages the development of new groups willing to be incorporated in the model forming a platform that can be used to plug in other services and ventures such as bonus payments, pre & post-harvest financing, mechanisation, input sourcing as well as technology adaptation. This increases the competitiveness of smallholder farmers through enabling collective production that guarantees quantity and quality.
