SPADE (SMALL HOLDER POULTRY AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME)

This is a commercialization of indigenous poultry project. Its main goal is to improve the communities resilience to the impacts of climate change, as well as disasters e.g. droughts by promoting and disseminating commercial production of the KALRO’s improved dual purpose indigenous chicken genotype amongst small holder poultry farmers in arid and semi arid zones. In ADS Pwani, implementation of the project targets the two counties of Kilifi and Taita Taveta. Overally the project is being implemented in partnership with ADS Mt. Kenya (Lead partner) and ADS Eastern.
