KALRO AMRI Katumani is one of the 51 research Centres of Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO). It was established in November 1956. The initial function of KARI-Katumani was national mandate of dryland farming technologies before 2013 when KALRO was formed. Today KALRO-Katumani has added mandate of generating and disseminating agricultural mechanization technologies and innovations across agricultural value chains in Kenya.
