The feed analysis laboratory is a research support facility established primarily for feed analysis. The laboratory is now evolving into a referral facility for feed analysis in Kenya and the region.

- Crude Fibre (CF)
- Crude fat
- Neutral Detergent Fibre (NDF)
- Acid Detergent Fibre (ADF)
- Acid Detergent Lignin (ADL)
- Ether Extracts
- Amino Acids profiles
- Antibiotic residues
- Milk composition
- Milk contaminants
Conferencing and hospitality services
The DRI prides in an ultra modern Resource Centre with an amphitheatre, seminar rooms, accommodation rooms, technoshop and a gymnasium. The facility has become a premier conferencing and meeting place for many organizations while in Naivasha.
The DRI offers attachment on first come first served basis for university and college students pursuing agricultural related courses. Students are required to pay KES 2,500 s bench fees.
Farmers and other stakeholders make periodic visits to DRI centres to keep abreast with advances in agricultural technology and information generation. Charges for a day’s visit are KES 50 for primary school pupils, 100 for secondary school students, KES 150 for University/college students, KES 300 for local farmers within a group, KES 500 for individual farmers and KES 1,500 for international farmers and other stakeholders.
