The aim of the section is to generate and provide to scientists’ appropriate socio-economic information and biometrics inputs required during the development, adaptation and adoption of crop and animal production.
The sections activities include:
Monitoring and evaluation to determine the economic viability, social acceptability and market responsiveness of the technologies developed by KALRO-AMRI
To facilitate priority setting (ex-ante impact assessment) in order to identify and priorities areas of intervention in projects and programmes.
To assess adoption and impacts of released technologies at different stages of technology generation-adaptation-adoption- wider usage (up scaling) continuum.
To provide biometrics inputs and policy status during development and dissemination of technologies, focusing on the statistical designs of research experiments and surveys, data analysis and interpretation of results to ensure appropriate principles and methodologies of scientific research methodologies are adhered to.
